Governor Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari said, I am very glad that the Mumbai University Sub-Center for the Sindhudurg area is being inaugurated on the occasion of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Guardian Minister Uday Samant and Vice Chancellor Dr. Suhas Pednekar also gave you the opportunity. It is believed that a new chapter of educational development of Sindhudurg district is beginning. The University of Mumbai is academically renowned and has been rated the best by the NAC Committee.
Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari said that the Sindhudurg district has got natural beauty, coastline, and abundant biodiversity. Sindhudurg district has got everything on earth except the Himalayas. This will create an educational model. The students of this sub-campus of the University of Mumbai should be provided with the education of bright new opportunities for the future by keeping the difference in education. He believed that educational opportunities such as agriculture, nature, coastline, and biodiversity would be available through this university center.
Governor Shri. Koshyari said, As the opportunity to study in the vicinity of nature is created, the students will definitely have educational opportunities and the sub-campus center will become the educational model. The University of Mumbai should also accommodate the professors from time to time in educational activities and their guidance will definitely benefit the initiative.
Explaining the historical significance of Sindhudurg district, the coastal Sindhudurg district has been created and this district has historical significance in the name of Indus Sea. Koshyari said.
From district planning 25 lakhs to the Sub-Campus
Higher Technical Education Minister and Sindhudurg District Guardian Minister Uday Samant said the Ratnagiri Sub-Campus was named after Padma Bhushan Dhananjay Kir. Therefore, as per the suggestion of MP Vinayak Raut of this Sub-Campus, Our role is to rename Madhu Dandwate Mumbai University Sub-Center. Sinet member Milind Satam should take a decision in this regard. Rs. 25 lakhs will be provided by the District Planning Board for starting this sub-campus.
Guardian Minister Uday Samant said that there is no university for marine educational activities. We are trying to become a university studying marine life, so marine activities and courses will start, and Marine Diploma College will start. In Sindhudurg district, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has sanctioned a government medical college. Union Minister Shripad Naik has sanctioned the Ayurvedic Research Center of the Ministry of Life at Adali. Chipi Airport is set to open on October 9. Therefore, we will invite the Governor to the Bhumi Pujan program of the sub-center and also for the opening of various educational centers in Sindhudurg district.
Name it as Prof. Madhu Dandawte Mumbai University Sub-Campus: Vinayak Raut
MP Vinayak Raut said that Sindhudurg sub-campus was demanded for many years and it has been inaugurated by the Governor. Sindhudurg Suputra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant, Suputra Vice Chancellor Suhas Pednekar and others. It should be renamed as Prof. Madhu Dandwate Mumbai University Sub Center. Sindhudurg district has made a name for itself in the field of education and has become known as the Sindhudurg district which provides copy-free quality education. For this, students, parents, teachers are all supported.
The Bhumi poojan ceremony of this sub-center building in Sindhudurg district should be held by Governor and Chief Minister Uddhav Thackrey.
Short Courses Based on Tourism
Former Guardian Minister MLA Deepak Kesarkar said, students in Sindhudurg district are very smart. Sindhudurg district is progressing academically due to the support of students, teachers and parents. Now with the sub-centers, education will reach a greater level. Sindhudurg has become a tourist district. In this district, short courses should be started for the employment opportunities of tourism. College should be started as well as big industries will benefit for biodiversity like Amboli. The Marine Research Course and Sindhusvadhyaya Sub-Center have been sanctioned at Vengurla. Balasaheb Thackeray Gyan Prabodhini has started a competitive examination center to introduce digital education in every home; efforts are being made through Streamcast Company through digital knowledge. The company will definitely reach out to these students through the university and shape the lives of the students through the modern digital revolution.
Sub-Campus will be University in Future
Vice Chancellor of the University of Mumbai Dr. Suhas Pednekar said he is happy when the campus center is being launched. Today, the dream is coming true. For this, Governor, Minister for Higher and Technical Education Uday Samant has got all the support. Education is open to all students of Sindhudurg district due to abundant availability of biodiversity.
