Ex-guardian minister, MLA Deepak Kesarkar expressed confidence that Jump will create a network in Goa along with Sindudurg district, which will create educational facilities of IT. He also expressed confidence that on the background of Make In India, 500 people will get employment in Sawantwadi city and Set top box manufacturing project will start in March in three shifts.
It takes time for certain things to take shape in this city but it flourishes in future. Ex-guardian minister and MLA Deepak Kesarkar expressed the opinion that Jump will also prove an important link in educational development of Sindhudurg district. He was speaking on the occasion of distribution of free Set top boxes to 100 people at his hands on experimental basis through Jump. City Vice-President Annapurna Korgaonkar, Shivsena Tehsil chief Rupesh Raul, Jump Managing Director, Harshavardhan Sable, Jump Head Mukundan Raghavan were also present on the platform.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Kesarkar said, Jump is one of the announcements made by him for development of Sindhudurg district when he was guardian minister. Five hundred people will be provided employment through Jump shortly. Currently Set top boxes of Jump have been manufactured in China. However in second phase these will be manufactured in Sawantwadi and the concept of Make in India will be brought in practice, here. Credit for this must be given to Harshavardhan Sable, Managing Director of the company.
MLA Kesarkar said there is great talent among youth in Sawantwadi district, hence being huge power in IT area, it is launched from Sawantwadi district. A work starts late in a pious land like Sawantwadi but it flourishes in the future. Jump is also going to be a motivator for educational development and talent of youth, in the area.
Mr. Kesarkar further added that free Wi-Fi service will be provided through Jump in Sawantwadi city. This service will start in about a month and this will make Sawantwadi to be the first city with free WI-Fi. Later this network will be spread throughout the entire district and customers will be charged Re. One per hour through Set top box, and you will be able to watch programme on TV at minimum cost at home. Jump will weave its net in the State of Goa after implementing its project of Set top box.
Training for UPSC, MPSC competitive exams being imparted through Balasaheb Thackeray Dnyan Prabodhini here will also be imparted through this network on TV. Agreement has been signed with BSNL to that effect and SIM cards have been provided by BNL at moderate rate. Therefore, Mr. Sable should personally look after this service to be provided so that it continues in future, said MLA Deepak Kesarkar.
Competitive exam guidance has been provided to 150 students through Balasaheb Thackeray Dnyan Prabodhini and now they are under training in third phase, informed Mr. Kesarkar. He expressed confidence that in future educational facilities and guidance will be available through Jump along with competitive exam centre.
Mrs. Annapurna Korgaonkar said that it is admirable that technology like Jump is being launched in Sawantwadi city. Everybody has realised need of technology while working from home during Corona time.
Mr. Vinayak Jadhav said while giving introductory speech that any ordinary TV can be watched as Smart TV through Jump. Training will be provided for this in the coming days. Main purpose of Jump is digital service and digital education. Jump head also provided more information on the occasion. Marketing head of Jump Megha Desai, Sandeep Natlekar, Gayatri Patankar, and other network employees were also present on the occasion.
